That depends on how you normally react to alcohol. Does it make your RLS worse? Alcohol doesn't make my RLS worse (in fact the opposite) but it's a very individual thing. If alcohol did make it worse I definitely wouldn't touch a drop.

Could you perhaps have a tonic sans gin ? A Virgin G&T. Pam

I did think about that......just tonic....

It's a meal , then cocktails etc......as I'm the brides Auntie....think she won't mind.

Think I'll just go for the meal as I'm not a drinker......gin and tonic once in a blue moon.

According to an expert on a Webinar on the RLS Foundation, moderate drinking is okay. Unless you have a drinking problem, of course.

I quite like a pink gin & tonic hasn’t done me any harm

Alcohol is a major trigger for me, but everyone is different as we know. A glass of wine in the evening is very relaxing but it causes me to wake up to use the bathroom 3 or 4 times during the night. Waking up from a good sleep poses a risk of RLS starting up when I get back in bed.

I frequently drink my tonic gin free. I love fever tree light because it’s lower in sugars but doesn’t have that awful artificial sweetener taste. They come in a few flavours too . Have a Lovely time.

If you suffer from rls, one shouldn't make any difference, but it may help you sleep. Personally, I avoid all sugar and alcohol, and after 12 months of this my rls after is almost gone.

I can drink a glass of Rose or White wine but can’t take any red. I can drink a can of lager each night but can’t drink a pint of draught bitter. Can’t understand why but grateful for that!

Alcohol is a majority trigger for me-one drink is guaranteed to send my legs off the scale

Its not a case of being a party pooper -you just do what you feel is right for you so that you can enjoy yourself-the important thing is your enjoyment -ignore any negative comments -& if they do just say you re on strong medication which means you cant drink
