Restless Leg Syndrome with Periodic Limb Movements in Sleep

Does anyone have experience of a good Consultant in Hampshire or Dorset specialising in PLMS -part of RLS. ?

Sorry I haven't a clue.

If you manage to find such a rare being anywhere in the UK, I 'd like to know too.

I tried using Mr Google to find a neurologist who specialised in RLS but it doesn't seem as if there are many neurologists around and none say they specialise in RLS.

Apologies for being so negative, I do hope you find one.

The report of a survey was recently published which showed neurology is low down on the list of medical priorities and RLS is low down on the list of neurological priorities.

I am sure you will find a knowledgeable consultant at the Wessex unit at SGH in Southampton. Whilst I live in Southampton I go to the Institute of Neurology in London where I have had excellent RLS treatment

Bit of a long story. My wife suffers from Dystonia and for a number of years had been going to different Neurology appointments when we were in London and lastly at the Institute. This continued after we moved. On one occasion I couldn’t go with her and when the Neurologist heard I had neuro problems he arranged for me to see him! The rest is history.
