Anyway, if it's almost impossible to persuade the NHS to give simple, relatively cheap, iron infusions, it'll be nigh on impossible to persuade them to perform complex ops like this.

I think before Iron infusions, before any other treatment - GET HELP FOR YOUR DAILY MAIL PROBLEM.
I have spoken to a couple of psychiatrists but they say they can only help when people are starting to watch Jeremy Kyle - if you have graduated onto the Daily Fail you are likely beyond all hope!!!
Interesting article, (that didn't blame the 'coloureds and foreigners). I would love to get involved in some of these tests but in the wilds of Ireland the best you can hope for is the run-around and a huge hassle getting even the right drugs. I wonder if it works for the whole body? Great to see more research in this area, even if it came about accidentally.
IF anyone is reading I am a very willing guinea pig - willing to try anything and everything - except soap!
For the love of god - don't let him know, divorce can be messy and expensive.
I have a friend who has the same problem - we've had numerous interventions but still he is drawn to the dark side.
Can I suggest more Iron in your diet - every time you feel liker lifting the Daily Fail paper or clicking on the site - hammer 6" nails into your hands to prevent access - it is the most effective strategy.
😂😂😂😂😂 I remember an ex-boyfriend popping to get a paper and coming back with a DM, he got the hard stare and that was the beginning of the end really! It wasn't a meeting of minds.
I know, but it’s soooo addictive & I can get enraged at the coverage of Boris & his mates. I can’t even blame the dopamine agonists any more as I’ve been off them for nearly 3 years.
Its a bit like me and the news - I hate the propaganda and half stories we get but love to watch to complain about it!
I think it might be a long time before this gets round to being available, the clinical trials not yet started.
I can imagine some readers of the Daily Mail sticking wires in their spines and plugging themselves in. For me, it would have to be in the neck, but I'm not quite sure what all the adverse remarks about the Daily Mail stem from, I don't read any newspaper.
For a balanced view of what's going I dip into BBC news, Sky, Al Jazeera and RT.
How many realities are there?
I recently met a chap who was a Professor of Russian History, he told me Russian History is so hard to predict.
I wonder if I can increase the voltage on this TENS machine?
You’re correct Manerva. The Daily Mail comments are simply because it doesn’t have a balanced view. Like you, I watch different news Channels to get more diverse opinions and comments.

Sorry my wife has just read this post and wants me to make it very clear that the one reality I speak of is of course hers and I am a very sorry man in her reality and will be bring flowers.
There is a verse in the Bible which starts “Greater love hath no man than this ............”. Well I hope I am not being sacrilegious when I say I thought of this when I offered to collect a DM for a housebound neighbour yesterday!
I thought the same when I used to by The Sun for my parents. I of course had the sense to hide it in a hardcore pornography mag so no one would see it.
I am thankful for the DM for highlighting this. I have been up for the last three nights with absolutely no sleep. My daughter actually has this implanted in her spine. She was chosen for the research after botched spinal surgeries left her with nerve damage and in severe pain. An external device was used for six months and she was able to programme this to reduce the pain. Once she had reach a satisfactory level it was implanted in her spine. She was 45 at that time and had luckily never experienced RLS, for which I am eternally grateful, so obviously can’t say what effect it would have for the likes of us. This was carried out by our wonderful NHS and has proved highly successful for her. My son, however does have RLS and was excused night duty when he was a young PC and on traffic. My father was a sufferer too so I don’t care a dam which paper has reported this, I just thank God that it is being spoken about as none of my friends have any idea what I have to deal with. Well done to The Daily Mail!
I think there may be a bit of hyperbole at work here - people having much needed fun so I wouldn't get too defensive, (especially not for the DM - sorry couldn't resit it ).
PS - I am delighted your daughter got relief especially after the insult of the initial botched operations. Long may her relief last.
Dogdoo, can I ask - what was it like? I have been to the edge of my sanity with RLS yet imagine I would be too frightened to have my spine operated on (well done you for your bravery). Also can I ask why did you get it done and what sort of effects did you receive. Obviously if I am prying you can tell me to f off and mind my own business or if you don't want to say in public please PM, its just that I find this very interesting.
