It has been a long time since I have posted on here, but all who struggle are always in my thoughts. Had a rough year, first I had a right knee total replacement. That of course was an elective surgery. But one month after I completed physical therapy, it was discovered I had cancer of the right kidney. So, the kidney was removed, but at the two week post op appointment, my Urologist tells me it was not completely gone ; this is known as renal cell carcinoma. So, no treatment, it was wait four months then do a CT Scan. That was five months ago, and the scan showed zero cancer. I am sorry to get off track of RLS matters, but just letting you know why I have been away from this wonderful community of friends. I did want to say that the combination of Requip (Roprinal (sp) ) & Mertazapine has worked in keeping my RLS at bay for the past year and a half. All the best to all of you out there suffering from this terrible, maddening thing.

Requip & Mertazapine
I am sorry to read about your bad times, eddied, I hope things are far more in the up from now on.
And thankfully your combination of meds for RLS kept on working, things could have been far worse for you. You seem to be among the ‘lucky’ ones that actually benefit from mitrazepine; for most with RLS it makes the symptoms worse. Aren’t we all different?!
Hi ! Wow, two plus years since I communicated on this fantastic community of RLS friends. I have been on Mirtazapine and Ropinerol (Requip) all this time, and now it is rare to have those maddening symptoms. I guess most people call it Resrless Leg Syndrome, but I guess for the upper body, Restless Limb Syndrome is the new term. I just want those fighting the fight to hang in there, and I hope relief and healing come your way.
