So I forgot to put on my new patch last night so precisely zero sleep and I have to be out soon with a busy day in front of me 😢. I would kick myself but RLS is actually doing that for me. X
Stupid me! : So I forgot to put on my... - Restless Legs Syn...
Stupid me!
Hi happy Christmas to you all you are you now I don't know if I told you after years of RLS a new doctor sent me to see a neurologist the best thing happened to me she changed my. tablet's I take 1 pramipexole at 15.00 and 1 at 21 00 the best nights sleep in years 241241 Tony
So very sorry to hear that story ,Pippins.
I hope plenty of strong coffee will keep you going.
Great to hear you are active- I had been wondering where you had been the last while.
Happy Christmas to you and all yours, for the season.
Are you saying there is a patch to wear for rls? If so what is the name of it. Thank you.
You have my sympathy. Neupro works for me so I know when a patch has come off! I also take long lasting Tramadol which I know also is very helpful. A couple of days ago I was getting ready for bed, went to my pill box and found two rather than one of the Tramulief pills- I hadn’t taken the 10.30am tablet! Rather oddly an effect of this was that leg movement woke me at 1.30 and my legs wouldn’t calm until I got up. A rather annoying lesson. Happy Christmas to you and anyone else who reads this!
Hi they are called Ritigotine but are packaged as Neupro patch. They are a dopamine agonists class of medication. If you are in a country where you have to pay for prescriptions they are expensive, in the UK they are standard prescription price x
Hi, Pippin, hope your legs have settled down some. I also use Neupro and have had much better luck applying it in the morning. It takes about 12-15 hours to reach its fullest effect, according to the graph you'll find in the big sheet they package in every box. And I have definitely found that to be true. So try different times of day and see if it makes any difference for you. I have also found that it's most effective when applied to my shoulders. If I'm careful, I can map out 10 sites on shoulders alone (not quite the 14 they recommend, but enough for me to avoid most skin irritation. Again, I recommend experimenting with different locations. I use the 2 mg patch. Long may it work for you!
RLS optimist thankyou for the advice I never thought of applying in the morning I tend to put my patch on around 6 o'clock in the evening after a shower. I will give it a go though. I have been on the 1mg patch for 6 years now and it's made a big improvement in my RLS. I do react badly to the adhesive backing and find my abdominal area to be the best place for me. It made a mess of my arms but I will give shoulders a try x
Shoulders are definitely the best place for me & when travelling to the StatesI kept my U.K. patch time of 6pm which was 1pm there and guess what... better nights! I am back in the UK now and am going to gradually reduce the time backwards to lunch time.
