Hi
I am in my late sixties and have had RLS since an early age. I have recently found that taking vitamin C ( I take in powder form) has reduced and some nights stopped the RLS. Vitamin C helps absorption of iron. I hope this helps for someone.

Thank you. I'll try that as well then. I knew it helped iron absorption but expected it didn't make that much difference. If it's the answer I'll be so pleased.
Are you taking iron as well or just in food?
Hi Nurses, Thanks for your post. I am trying to cure my RLS as naturally as possible and have also increased my vitamin C intake. I have found that a magnesium supplement (MegaMag Calmeze) taken in the morning with a soluble vitamin C tablet and then a Magnesium B tablet in the evening helps calm my legs down. It was getting to the stage where I was getting no sleep as I was "Irish dancing" all night in bed. I haven't tried taking an iron supplement yet - they all give me migraines - so I will try and get some iron into my diet. Didn't I read somewhere that dark chocolate contains iron? Its a bit more tempting than liver.
I've started taking 100mg iron sulphate in the mornings which i swallow with about a third of a litre of orange juice. My last iron reading was 127, about average in the normal range, but I'm trying to get up to 300, and am excited to see if it has any effect.
Good luck!
Chris
