I remember a few months ago reading a post about a medicine that helps counteract when suffering sleepiness either from RLS causing us to lose sleep at night and be sleepy the next day or for when sleepiness is a side effect of meds taken. Does anyone know what this medicine is called? I believe it was a prescription medicine. Thanks!

Ooh, I would love the name of that as well!
Methamphetamine or just plain old amphetamine if you don't want to be awake for days, (plus cheaper than cocaine).
In all seriousness the drugs are likely some of the nootropics, but be careful with these too as they can cause problems in some people. I spoke with my Dr about whether or not they would be of benefit to me with ME but he wasn't keen on them.
Thanks Raff, but that wasn't the name of it. If I happen to find out, I will let y'all know. Thanks for your input, though!
Oh, I found the post I was talking about! I have copied and pasted it below: (BTW, Jesse, you replied to it back then talking about Provigil helps you!)

I started to take Modafinil "Provigil" 100mg every morning because I could not stay awake and had little energy most days. To my surprise, my RLS was gone without using any other medicine. Not a recommendation just a pleasant surprise.
Ok, yes. I loved being on Provigil!!!! It was prescribed to me several years ago for suspected narcolepsy. It woke me up in ways I never thought would be possible again, so I was incredibly excited! Unfortunately I couldn't stay on it, but if scientists ever make a drug with the exact same makeup without the side effect that caused me to get off of it, I would be all over it!
Modafinal is a nootropic and I'd check it carefully. It was one I researched but discounted. I'll try and find where I got the information when I get a chance.
Thank you Raffs! I would truly like to hear more about this drug. Thanks again!!
