Neupro is expensive even with insurance, but my neurologist gave me info about a rebate from McKesson for using Neupro which amounts to only a $10 co-pay (per month). It is not dependent on income. (Why don't they just lower the price?)
For info on the rebate, call 866-781-7533. There is paperwork involved with each purchase, but it is worth the effort for the benefit. McKesson also provides rebate for Eliquis...and perhaps other expensive meds. The rebate is saving me a significant amount of money.
I have been on Neupro Patch 3mg for about 6 years. There is a program with the makers of the Neupro Patch that makes your co pay with insurance as little as $10.00 up to $50.00. I was paying a $10.00 co pay. But, last year I lost my job and of course my health insurance and didn't know how I was going to live with out the patch. Well, I called the manufacturer whom I was getting this reduction in co pay and explained to them that I had been using this product for a number of years and that I didn't have the means to pay because I was only receiving unemployment at the time and they have an assistance program for people like this and I pay NOTHING. They send me a 3 month supply to my home via FedEx. I have to call when I have 10 days of patches left. I had to send them proof of my unemployment and a statement showing how much I was receiving from unemployment.
That is great news! I was unaware of this benefit, but I'm very glad you discovered it. Neupro is the only thing that has helped me; I've been using it for 10 months now and as my neurologist said, it's not 100% effective but I'm grateful for something that works at all!
