Horrendous

We were on our way to New Zealand when we had our backpack stolen in Madrid with personal things in also our meds. I have had no meds for nearly 4weeks and its been horrendous, my rls is the worse its ever been, and getting about 2hours sleep a night. I was told if I saw a gp they wouldn't prescribe meds as it was long term meds. I am on Pramipexole. Can't wait to get on that plane on Sunday for home, it's been the worse experience of my life.

Hi Graciebes, what a horrible experience for you. Could you contact your own GP, explain your circumstances and ask them to email your prescription to you. You could then that to a local Dr and hopefully they would look kindly on your situation.

Does it occur to you, despite the appalling misery, that you might be halfway to weaning off dopamine agonists? If it is that bad, and it clearly is, then you have been augmenting for some time.

I would think hard about starting again. Study augmentation and coming off DAs on this site, and on others.

If you have indeed augmented (what is your current dose?), then this misery is in your future. Again.

THis may just be the worst best thing that ever happened to you.

What you may need is an opioid to help you to kick the Monster Drug forever.

THere is hope, and more hope, on the other side of your suffering.

The poster's RLS got worse because they had no Pramipexole to take, they are not saying the Pramipexole was making their RLS worse. Of course their RLS is going to be worse if they have no Pramipexole to take they will be having withdrawals . !
