Sorry to hear that the dreaded RLS has returned. Are you taking any medications to help with the symptoms? I would definitely talk to your doctor, for as we do not know your symptoms or your history, it would be impossible for us to be able to advise you correctly.

Am I right in suspecting that you did not have it before you fell pregnant?

Forum members tend to post that taking a course of antibiotics for an infection for instance, at the same time also appears to help with their RLS symptoms, not the other way around, but of course there can always be exceptions. Have you taken any of the Medications to Avoid lately, some of them being over the counter ones as well as prescribed? They are listed on the RLS-UK website. May be it would be a good idea to get your ferritin level checked?

Isn’t there something about kidney problems inducing RLS? Check the rls-uk.org website, as I think it is mentioned there. RLS during pregnancy has often to do with low iron and/or hormonal changes. Hopefully your RLS will very quickly quieten down and disappear again when the kidney infection gets under control.

Hi There Carley41, yes there is heaps you can do. RLS can't be cured as I'm sure you are aware, but there are medications out there that can make life a lot easier.

And I'm afraid UTIs are pard and parcel with RLS. Sux don't it.

Not what you're looking for?
