Hi I am new, have had RLS for 19 years and was on pramipexole which gave me augmentation, I am now on Madopar and only 1 week into it, still not getting a lot of sleep.

Any Ideas?

Hi fishdave,

Madopar is a stronger dopamine agonist than Pramipexole so I'm a little worried that you have been prescribed it if you augmented on Pramipexole.

When did you stop the Pramipexole and start the Madopar? What dose of Madopar are you on? Did your neurologist consider alternative treatment with Alpha 2 Delta Ligands like gabapentin or pregabalin or opioids like tramadol or oxycontin?

If you augmented on one DA, augmentation usually occurs quite quickly on another.
