As you are all no doubt aware, I have been taking seroquel for my bipolar and sleeping. my girlfriend sent me a link to follow.

I just jumped over to Google and asked for seroquel side effects and these are the ones I could tick

Feel impulsive, irritable, agitated, hostile, aggressive, restless, hyperactive (mentally or physically), more depressed, or have thoughts about suicide or hurting yourself. bit scary hey. I don't think I can take Seroquel anymore. I am seeing my doctor tomorrow where I'll discuss it indebth with her and the cherry on the cake? ... RLS is turning up every night right on time at 7 pm. Not happy Jan. Can someone please offer me an alternative

Unfortunately, for us to «offer an alternative» is not something we can do (or should do). What with medicines affecting everyone differently, drug interactions, etc., your doctor (the one with your history) should be the only one to help you with this. Drugs are tricky, and it wouldn’t be fair to you for us to give medical advice.

Tell me, though: by «the ones I could tick», do you mean that you are feeling these things? If so, please talk to your doctor.

Yep unfortunately every one. Dr says it's normal for bipolar patients and the fact that I'm aware of it is a plus and I should just ride it thru. Getting very used to sleeping EVERY night for 6-8 hours I must admit. Am feeling a tad better this morning. Dr has requested urgent appointment with the prescribing phys ... Shrink tho. Considering his instructions were to increase dosage every week (something obviously I refuse to do (RLS). By now I am supposed to be taking 5 times the amount. My God ... could you imagine. Yep ya can!!

That’s true. Being aware of your feelings is a step forward. I am going through a trying time emotionally at the moment, with very strong feelings coming to the surface that are at times uncomfortable, but my psychiatrist keeps insisting that it’s progress.

It could be that the dose of the drug needs adjusting OR it may be that the drug isn't good for you. On the plus side you seem clued in enough to stay on top of things and you have good support. I don't know how long you've been on it but link in with the prescriber and let them know the side-effects they then can act accordingly.

Good luck P.

Thanks Raffs ... have done all of that. Dr says I'm having an extremely low low. REALLY! But it will pass. I am feeling better this morning.
