has anyone heard of this all natural remedy for RLS named Restavin?
If you type Restavin in the Search Box there are at least three past threads on this product.
Never heard of this one. Recently I tried a product with similar claims called QuietLEGS. I took it for a whole month to give it a chance but it did nothing for me except shrink my bank account, so frankly I am loth to try any other 'natural remedy'. I can't afford it and am always disappointed. But good luck if you intend to try Restavin, we are all different and what doesn't work for some may work for others.
I have been suffering from terrible RLS and recently found out about Bowen therapy. I had some relief after the first treatment and had my second treatment last week ( one week apart). I find it is helping. Will update as time goes on.
I am having Bowen treatment and have 3 out of 4 nights sleep. Having another treatment today. I am also taking extra vitamins and massaging with mixture of oils so that might help. Don’t want to stop anything yet. But I think Bowen is definitely helping
I think my RLS was also caused by an un-diagnosed concussion. I started to have sleep issues 6 months later, then 6 months later RLS started in at a severe level. My docs were no help - gave me muscle relaxants - didn't work at all. After 2 months of this and that I discovered the connection with iron supplementation and daily supplementation with Ferrous Bisglycinate 18mg literally took away RLS symptoms within a week! Sleep issues remain - I now don't take any iron - but continue a lot of additional supplements. I believe the accident causes brain inflammation which adds a lot of Glutamate in the brain. The Glutamate dis-regulates the Dopamine and iron in the brain causing the RLS. So the issue for me now is to get the Glutamate under control for more normal sleep.
Restavin is one of a number of "cures". They provide Folic Acid, Iron, Magnesium, Sleep aids, etc. You can supplement these yourself much cheaper by buying them individually.
