Not coping with ropinirole after 3days. Build makes me like a zombie. Gp said ol to take occasionally as my co codamol and pregabalin often don’t work. Took it last night. Didn’t have RLS but didn’t sleep well either and feel so depressed today. Do FODMAP diet. Not taking iron at present as ibs not great. Take magnesium orally and rub on. So don’t know what else to try. Usually cheerful person but Don’t wasn’t to see or speak to anyone today

Oh dear you do sound fed up. i have many days like that so i know how you feel. The Ropinerole seems not to be a med for you. Have you tried Pramipexole or the Neupro Patch, both are dopamine meds like the Ropinerole, but might suit you better. Its trial and error when finding what works and what suits us.

Thank you. I am Elsie so our names similar. I appreciate a kind word from someone who understands. I do watch my diet and all the things recommended and if that worked it would be wonderful. Some nights I dread going to bed but been at my choir and feel better so ever hopeful of a nights sleep now

Oh yes, if all those things that people recommended to do worked for us all, then there would be no need for forums like this. If you are not happy taking Ropinerole then see your doctor and ask if you can change to a different med. No good being so fed up if the med is making you fed up. Discuss how you feel with your doctor. :) My screen name Elisse is actually the name of one of my granddaughters. :)

Hello Smiffyliz,

I couldn’t handle Ropinirole or Pramipexole (nausea) but am ok with the Neupro patch (2 mg). I have to supplement this with a 50 gramme Tramadol at the beginning of the evening and sometimes another one during the night if the RLS breaks through. This has been working for more than a year. It probably won’t work forever but still...

I hope this helps and that you find what works for you.
