I had RLS for a few months and my GP suggested blood tests for lack of vitamin D the blood test came back ok I also had blood tests for anemia which came back as 10 instead of 50, I started a course of Iron Tablets and within a few days my RLS had disappeared hope this is of some use to any of you.

Low iron is a common cause for rls. Glad you got some relief.

Yes, and even if it isn't actually low, if it isn't high then that can still be a cause. The challenge is getting it up from 'normal' levels when your body is less keen to absorb it. When it's actually low your body is keen to absorb it.

Others on this site have explained to me how to try to do this and I'm sure would let anyone know who wanted - I'm still trying to get to that stage
