Hey Dufus, took many types of Rx trying desperately to CURE my symtoms . Dopamines in high doses seem to make matters worse, low dose is now thought to be way to go. I do .5 pramepixole and ocassional Zanax to relax (even tho antidepressants are thought to also make matters worse but its a low dose also.) Since there is no CURE its a symtom /Rx management situation. Sometimes figured out only after years of trial and error. I suffered terrible augmentarion by trying to up my dose in desperation and combined other Rx oxys,Lyrica etc.TOO MANY PILLS I was a zombie and getting worse! I'm 58 and a long way from retirement. So less pills has helped. It's just a difficult situation that you try and manage with a good Dr. and info from your fellow sufferers. Stay strong. Peace be with you. Thats Lumberjack,he's my pal thru the nights. We talk about stuff. He's a good listener!

Think I need a Lumberjack in my life! Have you considered other non-meds methods? I've have horrendous augmentation for the agonists earlier this year. Things now getting better having reduced meds and following a low sugar diet. Also taking oral iron suppliment, and using magnesium oil on the legs at night. As you know from this site, it's very much different strokes for different folks, so a lot of trial and error is going to be involved.

Haven't thought about a link to sugar, I love all things sugary, except tea and coffee, wonder if I can do it? Out of action for now as one week post surgery for ankle fusion. Not in charge as I can't get around but it's made me think.

Video on latest info from Raff explains quite well what THEY know and what they dont. We are the trailblazers along with the medical community addressing this currently. The number of folks suffering this debilitating, maddening type of life demands more attention and recatagorized by the medical community. This is a life altering Desease! Not a "Syndrom" Im still trying to run my company with almost no sleep. It's nearly impossible to operate safely (painting contractor, ladders, roofs etc.)trying to shake off meds from nite before along with sleep deprivation then go home and start the awful cycle AGAIN! Better chance of snatching afew winks now that I've backed down my pramepixole to lower dose - 1/2 tab at 6 to get in my system then 1tab at 8 with a Zanax occasionally. OTC mag.twice daily . I will be adding iron as suggested and see if that gets results. LessRx pills has helped get me back from zombieland although gageing results on the dopamines is tricky. Takes a while to gage what your taking and the long term results. Drs.dont quite grasp this looking for emediate results that can acually take months to reveal on this type of Rx.This affliction is DEBILITATING but we have little choice but to use the currant solutions and meds.that turn our situation worse. (Augmentation ) So its less pills for me and resinged to the fact that this is not going to be cured with pills but something i have to live with and deal with without letting it drive me crazy. Can't wait to retire, life will be easier to deal with then I hope. Peace

Minut. I feel so sorry for you and anyone who has to go to work and function. I am 83 and a busy retiree who does volunteer work and although I have medical problems, by far the worst thing is RLS. Although I have been on Dopamine agonists and a range of medications, atm trying to manage on Tarjin 5mg (Oxycodone + naloxone) and Clonazepam 5mg (1/2), hot showers and exercise. I have had RLS since I was 14 yrs old.

Thank you for your reply, we have little choice in this matter. Good heath and a trouble free life are precious and rare. Many folks suffer from many different things we are simply among them. Thank you sir, fairwell.

Started with mag. Spray but now tabs, less mess. Going to talk to doc about ferratin levels next, take aCLOSE look. Then we'll have addrrssed most common factors in my case. Thanks for your response.

Love Lumberjack; he's a handsome guy! Part huskie? Dogs are great listeners, aren't they? I miss my dog. (He couldn't make the move to Norway with us (moved from States to Norway for hubby's work about 5 years ago), so he's with my parents in Oregon). We are lucky to have landlords with a dog, though! I ask them to bring her over for "dog therapy" some days. They even let me take her out for longggggg walks! Man, it's great!

Take care,

Hi Jess,Jack is fullblooded Alaskan Malamute (from malamute tribe) breed in Washington St. USA by Wacon Kennels who specializes in Champion weight pullers.Their sweet but the wolf breed into them centuries ago remains. The history of domesticating and breeding dogs is well documented starting with wolves and ending up with all the types we see today. Even new ones like Labradoodels etc. I'm sure there's a little fellow out there that needs you. You know the joy and comfort they bring. Thanks for the reply, fairwell.
