I have not had trouble with my legs for about 8/10 weeks. Not sure if it luck or this may sound really silly. I have to drink at least 2/3 litres of water a day and I also am hooked up to 1 litre of fluid overnight for my kidneys, they are failing.
Since I have been on so much water my legs have settled down totally. Whether it is a coincidence or not I don't know but long may it last.

I have chronic kidney disease. So to slow down the need for a transplant or dialysis for as long as possible I have to drink plenty of fluids.
I only noticed the other night how long it has been since I have had restless legs. I mark it down on a calendar and within a few days of drinking so much water is when I I haven't marked it down. Maybe it is just a coincidence but hopefully it lasts for a while yet. Fingers X.
Hi Floozie, l thought it was a coincidence but it has been over nearly 3 months and l have not had a twinge or anything at all. Thanks for letting me know l am not being stupid.
lt must have been around a week or two when i noticed my legs weren't bothering me and 3-4 weeks when i really thought that the only change i could put it down to was drinking so much water.
thanks knitknax58 a locum at my surgery mentioned it to me sometime ago i must admit i thought he was talking through his you know where now ive seen it on the forum i intend to give it go
My doctor at the time I asked for help when RLS started (aged 14) didn't believe it existed so did nothing for me. I wish more GPs believed it did and helped us.
I hope this works for a while as it is good to have a rest and a proper night's sleep.
That's really strange....a few weeks ago we had a spate of really hot weather and I was doing a lot of work in the garden, because it was so hot I was drinking a lot more than I normally do, water and orange squash etc, I suddenly realised after about 5 days that my legs had settled down. The only thing I had done differently was this increased liquid intake and I wondered if this had anything to do with it....maybe we have hit upon a cure!!
l hope it could be a cure.lt would be wonderful and cheap as well.
Hi kvitknax58,
Every since I read your post a month ago (has it only been a month?; it seems like it's been a lot longer) I've been making a conscious effort to drink more water. Wow, it really does seems to help!! My husband thinks that's because water flushes the body.
