Has anyone else read about this in today's Daily Mirror? Sounds a bit too good to be true, but it has been subjected to a trial, albeit of only 30 people, but apparently 90% of them said it helped.
I've attached the article. What do you all think?

Sorry, don't follow you?
Hi MumofSam,
What Madlegs means is the thread by Caz33 entitled Restiffic Foot Wrap posted today.
If you use the Search Button at the top of the page and type in Restiffic Foot Wrap you will see quite a few past postings on this subject. Happy reading!
The option is there for you to purchase the Wrap and if it does not work for you, return it within 30 days and get your money back.

We are all different. What may work for one will not work for another person.
Yes, thanks, I realised what she meant and have read some of the posts. I know we're all different, and what works for one doesn't work for another, but I can't see how this can possibly work, except perhaps as a temporary placebo. I think it's very irresponsible of Dr Miriam Stoppard to be writing about this product in the way she has, and have emailed her to let her know!
Good for you for sending the email and voicing your opinion.
I agree with you on this MumofSam. I cant work out either on how a piece of velcro wrapped round your foot would help with RLS.
Elisse, your comment made me laugh It really does sound preposterous, doesn't it?
I have also cut it out, going to take it to my GP on Wednesday when I have my review about my meds, will ask him.But according to some members on this site its a complete waste, you can buy this wrap in the states, it costs about (not quite sure)$250 that's why DR M Stoppard tells you to take it to your GP hoping you can get something similar on the NHS. if you don't live in GB you will have to do some more research on this bandage.
If you read all the posts in this thread you'll see I've emailed Dr Miriam Stoppard to complain about the article, as I think it's irresponsible of her to advertise this product, especially on the basis of such poor research, without looking into it properly. If she did she'd see far more people saying it doesn't work. How can pressure on your legs fix seratonin and ferritin levels in the brain?
Can you please send me her email address I have wrote a letter but it keeps saying wrong email
It's at the top of the page, if you have the newspaper: miriam@mirror.co.uk
Perhaps if enough of us email her, she'll have to take notice.
thanks I was just about to email her myself,
Well a bandage tho dont know how people can walk about with that on all day on both legs or feet realy do think some people think they have restless legs but are realy just fidgety .
Think pple that truly have rls only know that its total rubbish . rls interferes with your life so much that you want to end it all at times and i dont see how this would possibly work.
Has anyone noticed there are only three comments at the end of the article and one of them is from RLS-UK
I don't see them?
They are there if you scroll down far enough.
I've got the printed version and they're not on that. Funny that the online copy should be different. I'm going to have a look.
Hi MumofSam. I had heard of something 'vaguely' familiar to this pressure bandage but ignored it thinking it wouldn't be the answer for me. I'd be very curious as to what others have to say too.
People with RLS are easily exploited because there is no one universal cure and there is such a variety of legitimate cures. Whether they work or not is something you would have to determine by a proper statistical analysis of well founded experimental results. I get very cold feet and I think this acts to trigger my RLS. If this is common then perhaps the bandage would keep my feet warm and sometimes prevent my RLS from starting up??? I think my RLS is triggered by what I eat and controlling my diet helps a lot. I dont think this would be the case with everyone. However it works and if it works the price looks very high for a bandage!
I am not going to try it until I see more test results. I might try an athletic support bandage.
I suffer from rls and I had many sleepless nights because of it. It comes and goes in cycles. Last year I was going through a bad phase of rls and coincidently had to admitted to hospital for another issue. I was given compression socks to put on my legs because being immobile on a hospital bed increase the risk of developing blood clots. Surprisingly my rls disappeared for the whole time I had the compression socks on. This article confirms that I must try to find some compression devices on my legs.
if you find it will you let me no
