I have suffered from RLS for the past 35 years and as I get older it seems to be getting more, at present on 0.25 mg of Pramipexole twice per day and family Dr. has given me permission to go to 3 - 0.25 per day, which is helping. Has anyone tried using Infra Red light treatment ??

It's interesting that your GP gave permission to 3x0.25=0.75 daily, my sleep specialist stopped after 0.36 and prescribed me Lyrica instead.
Anyways, take extra care weaning it off and read about "dopamine agonist withdrawal" when you get to it.
DonT, read this article tells you about keeping your dose to the lowest possible for Pramipexole and what happens when you keep upping it. Your dose of .25mg twice a day is now considered too high a dose. Its now recommened to take no more than .25mg once a day. sleepreviewmag.com/2015/02/...
After suffering terrible nights and trying all sorts of treatment for 20 years I am finally getting relief most nights from my rls. I take 2 X 0.088mg pramipexole tablets at 6pm and this generally stops the rls from starting. I then take one 0.088mg tab and one 300 mg lyrica capsule before bed time and this helps me get a reasonable nights sleep. My legs still jerk during the night but I am so much better than I was I can cope with this.
No, I personally have never heard of it. I like you am taking Pramipexole 1.mg 3 ×s a day, and most days it does really good, and then there will be a night or 2 here and there that it won't touch the pain , and now my arms are doing the same thing and it hurts as bad as my legs it's from my elbows to the palm of my hands. OMG, they both hurt so bad , but like I said the pills usually keeps everything under control. Good luck
