Domperidone is the only anti sickmess med I can take that doesn't affect my legs but like all things in RLS eorld there are always exceptions. If you need to take anti sickness meds Iong term I would change to Zofran,it is the one recommended by a top RLS expert and the vast majority dont have a problem with it.Its more expensive but worth fighting for.I have never needed to try Zofran but I know many who have used it after surgery with no problems, good luck
Is anyone there right now? This attack is the worst.
I have just popped on here today whats going on topdog, you sound really stressed.
Thanks Elisse. This attack was worst of all. Started about 9pm. Had had a lovely dinner out and enjoyed myself. But at home the attack ruined it all. Took 10mg Valium, but it didnt seem to work as well, then at 1am I took another 10mg Valium and Panadeine Forte, plus had already taken the Sifrol. I ended up getting angry and then crying, which is what I dont want to do. Dont want my son to have to see all of this. I am suffering Panic Attacks/Depression for a long time now - doesnt help. Will of course see my doc and keep trying anything. When I posted early today I felt very upset and didnt want to keep trying to keep myself together. However, I had to try and calm down. I so appreciate you answering. I guess the same thing will happen again tonight......Janet
I’m 74 and I’ve had RLS many years but these past 6 months to a year have gotten so much worse!! I was on Ropinerole for a couple of years and little by little it stopped working! So my doctor had me try Gabapentin and I know so many people that take it but it was a huge mistake for me.. I wasn’t on it very long maybe a week but ever since then my devastating symptoms have increased beyond anything I could have imagined…almost everything I read on this blog has the same symptoms as I have but because of my age (74) my friends
I use Domperidone for my stomach - helps with digestion, but use Ropinirole (in Canada) for restless legs. They seem to help me. So glad I was prescribed some - and best of luck to you.. it's a heartless syndrome.
