I was just wondering if anyones issue here is related to the type of food they eat? Tuna, Nuts, Chicken, anything preserved in Vinegar are usually starters for me.
Does anyone else have the same problem? And how do you deal with it?
Thanks!

I know that some people eat junk and their rls improves while others eat healthy
and their rls improves but the same is true for the opposite. I am looking around
other forums to find out if anyone hit on this specifically.
There is a list of culprits on the RLS-UK website which may help you. Personally I find that caffeine, dairy and greasy food set me off and the best bet is avoidance! Good luck.
Yes, absolutely. My rls symptoms appear after eating foods that cause wind/gas: potatoes, peppers, greasy meats, beans/peanuts and high fibor grains, particularly oats. My theory is that the gas puts pressure on the nerves that creates the strange restlessness. When you experience an rls attack, move around, do waist twists, yoga and then visit the toilet to empty your bowels! I'm getting a great night's sleep now having removed these foods from my diet and also not drinking any tea (including herbal) at night. Cheers!
Thanks for the replies folks, much appreciated. I have started to keep a food diary, hopefully I can get a better handle on it and more specific causes.
Thanks again!
