I lived in the Aberystwyth area years ago. Miss the coast SO much! Do you have a neighbourhood watch group or freecycle 'cafe' area - you could ask the question. Or speak with your Practice Nurse who might be able to arrange for others to meet with you?

Hi, I live in Newtown, Powys but am currently studying in Coventry. I'm seeing a neurologist, for the first time next week. I'm really not keen to take any medication, because of the side effects, but am having some really bad nights at the moment. I had stopped taking magnesium for a while and am wondering if this is why it's particularly bad at the moment. Where do you live?

Hi. I live just outside Cardiff. Suffered since i was little in my arms and legs but luckily not all the time. Not taking any meds - well not yet anyway. Be good to hear what the neurologist has to say.

Hi, I live in Pembrokeshire and have suffered from RLS for some twenty years.I have been on medication for the past six years - Ropinerole and now Gabapention. I would be happy to discuss this depressing illness if that helps.

Hi, I live in south Wales near Abergavenny. Have had this syndrome for years. Its the last 9 months have been terrible. Now on meds. Just started and are getting good results so far. Feel free to chat.

I live in Cardiff. I started having RLS when I was 15, so that's 35 years now. I've been taking Ropinerole for about 5 years having to gradual keep increasing the dose, but luckily no side effects and am getting some sleep. Happy to hear your experiences

I live in swansea, had RLS for 48 years!!!! got wore as i got older. walking is good, only yesterday walked along the beach for an hour. Lovely place to live!!!!

I live in Neath, I have had RLS for over 30 years, and am on Ropinrole, probably the best tablet I have had in past 3 years, but need to take domperidone (antisickness tablet) to stop side effects of nausea and sickness when I started taking Ropinrole.

I thank you all for your responses, and think we need a support group network in wales, will look into this if anyone is interested?

hi neurosupport have just picked up on your post of 3yrs ago have not been on the site very long !! did you get enough responses about setting up the group?? if so I would like to join!!! I live in ABERDARE and visit NEATH often my SON and his WIFE live there its just gone 5/30 yet another bad night !! going to try to get some sleep got a visit to [docs] later am going to do battle to get some neupro patches!! not going to hold my breath!! talk some more hopefully .
