Time it takes to kick in - prednisone vs prednisilone?
I've been taking my prednisone at 2 a.m. so it will be fully kicked in by 4 a.m. based on the
Rayos
delayed release prednisone study and article I read. I found from experimenting that it does seem to be more effective for me when taken like this versus taking it later in the morning.

RF, RA, Rayos & Pain
And (2) the rheumatologist gave me a sample of
Rayos
(low dose prednisone) to try before my follow up. The horrible stiffness and diffuse pain / achiness is all but gone (yay!!), however I have an INCREASE in specifically painful areas. My knee hurts enough to wake me up at night, etc.

Out of Remission. Starting over...
Fast forward I am down to 3 mg of
Rayos
and Actemra every other week. I feel great and recovered quite quickly because I know how to take care of myself now. I am retired, keep myself very active and rest when I need to.

Lodotra/Rayos ..are they the same as enteric coated? + OUT OF STOCK warning
Rayos
/Lodotra coating is designed to release after 4 hours. I THINK this is if taken in the middle of a meal? "The formulation technology of
RAYOS
/LODOTRA enables a delayed-release of prednisone approximately four hours after administration.

Prednisone Caution
and it reads......Prednisone (
RAYOS
) normally used to treat inflammatory and allergic conditions. It says that long-term use cause a variety of eye disorders, including cataract, glaucoma, and retina detachment. I have seen my vision get much worse since I started prednisone.

Oddest thing happened
Then I switched to
Rayos
and started growing a thick prickley hair on my chin and less of the fuzzy hair. Now all of a sudden I am growing no hair at all on my face or shoulders. I have alligator skin that is just horrendous looking. Now I also have a bright red left cheek.

Rayos Time release prednisone
Also, Has anyone been on our
Rayos
, the time released prednisone??? See rheumatologist on Tuesday and thinking about going on. Is very expensive, but checked with insurance and they will pay most of it. Worst is in morning can barely get out of bed or walk, sometimes 5 to 6 hours.

Looking for advice
I have been slowly reducing my
Rayos
and doing pretty good. I am down to 12mg from 15mg from December. 2 nights ago I woke in incredible pain in my hip, knee and leg. I could hardly move. I increased my
rayos
to 14mg then to 15mg before I got any relief. Last night the same thing happened.

New Rheumie Switching Me to Rayos
So now he has instructed me to switch to
Rayos
and take it at night ( I said I would like to take it after my late meal, around 8pm, and he said that would be ok) so as to combat the inflammation and prevent those rough mornings.

Adrenal Insufficiency
They have moved me from
Rayos
/prednisone to HC because they think I may have adrenal/endocrine issues and can't test foe it yet bc I am on too high of doses. So they are thinking they may be able to get me to lower doses of HC because any time I try to lower on the pred I flare.

Unusual pmr attack on system
I took 2 mg of
Rayos
and went to bed for about 40 minutes. Does anyone think the
rayos
could work that fast? When I got up I felt so much better. Still hurt a lot but nothing like the pain that was earlier. I have had flares since having pmr for the past 23 months but nothing like this.

Rayos and Plaquenil and burning feet
I was wondering if anyone is on
rayos
and or plaquenil and experiencing sore and burning feet? My feet are painful to walk on them and they burn almost all the time. I am not diabetic and the foot dr. can't find anything wrong. That just leaves medication as being the problem.

Rayos/Time released Prednisone
Has anyone been on the above? Was it better for pain relief? Price is $2700 for a month supply but can be supplied to patients for free through a specific source.

HELP...TCA,PMR, FIBRO Actemra
Rayos
(Prednisone). I have been on Actemra for 1 year. For 6 weeks I had really blurry vision again, headache, temporal soreness, headaches with some stabbing pain, and numbness tingling throughout my body (Parathesia). My doctor told me you cannot have a flare on Actemra.
