I quit smoking a little over 3 weeks ago. I am taking chantix. I have headaches almost every day that are pretty bad. Is this normal?

Hi there Cschucter, Getting headaches is not uncommon, Its a sign that your body is recognising that you've stopped feeding it that addictive nicotine and that all those poisonous toxins are leaving your system :-)

If you are still concerned may be have a word with your doctor. All these niggly pains and aches are positive signs that your body is adjusting to being smoke free. Well done on reaching 3 weeks. :)

Hi cschuchter, welcome to Quit Support :-)

Well done on making it into your 4th week - You'll be awarded your 4 week Winner's Badge before you know it :D

JillyGirl has given you sound advice already, drinking plenty of water will also help. The main thing is to see all that is happening as a positive sign of recovery and won't last forever.

I'll pop up your quit date on our Wall of Winners for you now too :-)
