Hi Peter! The question was what is the 65th wedding anniversary:

A) Pink Diamond

B) Blue Sapphire

C) White Opal

D)?Green Emerald -I think!

The phone call to Clare Balding (phone a frend) produced a guess of Pink Diamond as it used to be that all anniversaries used to be Diamond after the 50th. They decided to err on the side of caution.

They took the money (£10,000 apiece for their charities) good job too as the answer was Blue Sapphire!

A good chunk of money still!

Take care,

Dianne

HI I TOO Wathched it (for the 1st time) and did nto know the answer to the quesiton

lol JILL

:-)

I know there is a newer/modern version of anniversary markers so it could be they used that. But I am sure on the old version it was just always diamond from 60 0nwards. I know my grandparents celebrated 70 years and it was still diamond. But that was about 15 years ago.
