Hi .. I never really wrote on this before , My brother John Joe was diagnosed with psp in june 2008 but had it for 2 or 3 year's prior to that . He is 61 year's old and in his final week's .. We have cared for him at home until 2 weeks ago when he got a chest infection and had to go to hospital .He refused peg and is now on a Morphine pump but doesn't seem to be comfortable, moaning a lot , but says he has no pain . He keeps asking to come home so that's what we are going to do .The sad thing is our mother is still alive a very young 86 year old it's so heartbreaking for her to see her son like this .. So could ye please keep her in your prayer too ....

Hello Aine,

Our thoughts and prayers go out to you all at this difficult time. We will pray that your brother's time is peaceful and that you and your Mum have the strength to help each other now and over the coming weeks.

My Grandparents lost both their sons (my Dad and Uncle - aged 43 & 27) through heart conditions, a completely different situation but still unbelievably sad and completely the wrong way round - parents should not outlive their children. We recently lost my Step-dad to PSP so feel I can empathize with your situation .... I just wanted you to know you are not alone.

God bless you,

With love, hugs and prayers,

Tree Hugger xXx
