Dear Jill,

Love to but can not.

Best I can suggest is what an old friend is suggested just this Friday night gone. I took her up on the idea and it put me in a bit of a better place for Friday night through to Sunday morning. She suggested to think young girl mode - think 'pyjamas and icecream - a girls best friends'. So that is what I did for 48 hours! Basically bummed around and did not do anything more than I really had to - and watched five movies for total escapsim and thought of the time as 'My time'.

Regards,

Alana - Western Australia

N.B. $20 worth spent for a 5 DVD-Movie pack with 'Walk the line', In her shoes, Marley & me, Love & other Drugs and Water for Elephants.

My selection sort of creeped me out - Anne Hathaway in 'Love & Other Drugs' mentioned PSP in the movie.

I am ashamed of myself. I almost cried a minute ago when someone from our homeowners' association called and said I had to get the wheelbarrow and bags of mulch out of my front yard because someone had complained (why couldn't they call and see if I needed help???). Mulch and wheelbarrows are such a nothing when you are having to deal with PSP. I am so amazed at what a good attitude you have, knowing all the while that there have to be times when you are really down. I can't imagine how it must be. I am absolutely too much of a whiner and need to look to people like you to see what courage you exhibit! Sharon's advice seems good as a distraction to get your resolve back. God bless you!

I'm not surprised you almost cried. How petty to complain about something so trivial and why not call themselves. My attitude to unimportant things changed a few years ago when i worked at a high school, responsible for getting support for students with additional educational needs. one day I was asked to go to a classroom where a boy was "kicking off". I managed to pursuade him to follow me to my office and asked him why he had lost it. He started crying and said, "My mum is in the hospice dying of cancer and he (the teacher) told me off for not wearing my tie". I'll never forget that 14 year old street wise youngster sobbing his heart out and it made me look at life differently.

I hope you get help clearing /spreading the mulch and if you knew who complained I'd be very tempted to dump a wheelbarrow full of fertilizer (provided by horses) in his front yard.

Hi Jill, It's so hard isn't it. I see my husband trying to do things that are so easy for me and wish I could give him back his old life. But I can't and it saddens me. I hope something happens to make you feel more positive soon. I love reading your posts and you have helped me to understand what my husband is feeling as he rarely speaks and never says how he feels. If anyone askes him he always says,"I'm fine".

Keep posting. You are in my thoughts and prayers.

hi cabbage cottage hows it going mate you know what I think your right about that

mate I think we all do a bit of pretending

now and again mate but it makes the world go around and if it helps you a small amount that's real good well I was surprised to get this em because when I showed it up on my puter it told me that this em from jill was 6 months old in fact in fact I remembered it well that's a good start aint it \\ I remember I dropped a trucks tailgate on my foot it was real heavy and of course I said oh blow that tailgate or did I say %%^$$#@@!$&**well after they had taken me to hospital I had a chat with this male nurse talking about magic actually == getting back to my big toe which of course was broken and he was getting plaster of paris and putting it around my big toe which I thought they never did anyway because it heals itself apparently then all of a sudden he stopped and then started to get all the\plaster off of my toe I thought\ this bloke has realized hes made a mistake so I politely said to him did you bugger it up mate and he said no I thought I had put two toes under the plaster\\\\\\\ at this point I will tell you that I only had 4 toes to start with THE ONE NEXT TO THE BIG TOE WAS AMPUTATED IN 1966 0N BOTH FEET THEN HE HAD A MOAN AT ME

FOR NOT TELLING HIM THAT I HAD A TOE MISSING FROM MY FOOT AND I TOLD HIOM HOW OBSERVANT HE WAS

TO PUT PLASTER AROUND SOMETHING THAT WAS not there in the first place and you did not HAVE TO PLASTER it ANYWAY well people and cabbage patch hats my bedtime story for tonight so just remember when your feeling down don't go to the hospital mates

you never know whats going io happen

THE END \\\\\\\WHO SAID THANK GOODNESS
