Is anyone going to the Queens Square, London Support Group on Monday 24th October?

This will be my first support group with my mum Rosemary, and I wondered whether any of you who are regulars here will be there?

I am plannig to be at the support group meeting on Monday and look forward to meeting you. Will you have your mum Rosemary with you? I am a former carer, my husband died in April 2010 at the age of 58, I now continue to support th PSPA where I can, raise awareness, and co-run a support group in Brentwood. Saturday 29 October will be our second meeting. If you are in our area and would like to come along you would be most welcome. Cameron Wood can give you full details of the support group meeting.

I look forward to meeting you.

Enjoyed meeting u all today, those that were there. Will any of you attend the group at Wimbledon if one starts, this would be our nearest one & much easier than getting to Queens Sq, but was very glad to have gone today. Also made it back in time with mum to get her to her GP appointment, and he agreed to put in a request with Prof Lees team to see if her inpatinet stay could be prioritised, as she is really struggling day to day. Balance getting worse, energy levels get zapped even if I give her a shower, and speech getting worse. Hopefully she will have her tests soon.

Met a lovely lady who had been diagnosed this year with PSP, she attended with her friend and was so interesting to hear how her symptoms came on after she lost her daughter to leukaemia. Mums seemed to appear with ferocity after my dad dropped dead in front of her. Wonder if a shock to the nervous system CAN hasten the onset or not?

Much love and best wishes
