Zumbathon party in support of PSPA - 22nd September - Rochdale

Hi everyone

I wrote a while ago as I had released a song and I am doing a number of charity events up to January next year in aid of the PSP Association.

I have the Zumbathon party coming up the week after next at Bojangles in Rochdale -6pm to 8pm. Full details can be found at popsforpsp.co.uk. This is a very energetic event and the purpose of it is the fact that the mobility of the people who attend is such that they can dance and move around in contrast with the loss of mobility for people who suffer with PSP.

If anyone is close by in the Greater Manchester/North West area it would be good to see you at the event. I'm not sure how many people are coming yet as there is a mixture of people registering on the site and registering on the night of the event, but it should be a busy night. There are also quite a few people who have got their sponsorship building up nicely.

Please keep a watch on the pops for psp website as I will be finalising some of the additional events over the next few weeks and I'll try to keep everyone up to date on how things are going

To everyone else who are running or taking part in fund raising events good luck to everyone.

Take care

Lesley x

Hi Lesley,

Well done for organising all Your Charity events and good luck with the Zumbathon on the 22nd, sorry but a bit too far for me to join you.

As a family we have been doing some fundraising this year, my daughter ran a Half Marathon in July, first organised run she had ever done and did it in respectable time, 2hours, 22mins and 22seconds.

I along with the family have just completed a White Water Raft in The Rockies Canada!!! It took me way out my comfort zone and I was terrified but BOY what a thrill it was when done!! Didn't quite get as much sponsorship as I would have hoped for but every bit helps.

My youngest daughter is to do a sponsored swim in the next couple of months and that will be our '3 for PSP' for this year.

Wishing you all the best in you events.

Regards Daria

Well done to you and your family Daria. You have done brilliantly and as you say every little helps the association. I bet the white water raft was a blast. My sister would be very envious, she loves to do things like that.

Take care and my best to you and yours.
