Hi there,

I can understand you wanting to have a bath put in so you can relax. I think you will find that the council will say that you have the safest, and best option for your future needs. In my experience you have to look ahead to what your future needs are going to be and plan accordingly. A wet room being the best option. This doesn't help with what you would like NOW. Sorry to be a wet blanket.

Hang in there

I agree with comments above, sad but true.

Hi

As the others have said I think you are unlikely to get help from the council for this - particularly if you had funding from them to put the wet room in. Their reasoning would be that, sadly, there will come a time when you wouldn't be able to get in and out of a bath safely.

Many leisure centres have warm pools or jacuzzis these days, maybe that would be an option? Or your local hospital may offer a hydrotherapy service to which your GP could refer you.

Hope that helps

Kathy
