Learning to fall properly….not quite Jackie Chan but it saved me - this one is thanks to my former trainer who I can’t visit now I don’t drive but who I owe big thanks to.

Learning how to fall has spared me from countless injuries and fractures. In martial arts, one of the first skills you master is the 'breakfall.' After practicing it thousands of times, it becomes second nature—what you might call intuitive. Despite this, I did experience a serious fall that resulted in two pelvic fractures and a pulled groin. However, as severe as it was, the outcome could have been far worse without my body instinctively responding to the training. Unfortunately, most of the patients on this forum have not had the benefit of this type of training.
