it’s been 4 years and a hard road getting to this point x mum had several fall, was in hospital and now in intermediate care whilst we work out a plan going forward as in if she can return home and what support she will need x the team in IC are great unlike in hospital.

She had her Dat scan a couple of weeks ago which confirmed abnormalities and show it is a form of Parkinsonism syndrome x I managed to get a cancellation appointment for follow up with neurologist which is today so hopefully we can get a definitive diagnosis and ensure she has everything then that she needs xxxx

I hope today goes ok 🙏 the diagnosis is important so the right care can be put in place to support your mums needs.

A big hug.

My heart goes out to you, Karen. My dear husband struggled with CBD for ten years. It is a formidable thief of body and mind. I wish you and your mom the very best. Try to laugh, hug a lot, tell her you love her often...all of those things kept me going as his caregiver. Sometimes, they only masked my tears, but it did help me get through it. Bless you both.
