End of PSP era.

A couple of weeks ago my father passed, putting an end to a 5 year journey that impacted him mostly but the family too. He is resting now and his final moments were quick and peaceful.

On the good side (trying to see some good in this disease), we learned so much during this experience, how to cope and navigate through emotions, hardship, overcome difficult moments were everything is despair and try and help your loved ones trying to remain yourself strong. Learn that is impossible to control everything, let things happen and adapt to a new reality almost every week.

I would like to say Thank You! to this forum, even if I was not that participative I look often for answers and experiences from those who walked this path before us and this has been invaluable. Thank you very much!.

Father, rest in peace, you gave us all. 🦆

Dear jamescrra

I’m sorry to hear of your loss 💜. You summarise so well the strategies that we all need to learn to be able to care for and support our PSP warriors. I’m sure your father was incredibly proud of you for giving your love and support and finding the positives in this difficult journey. Wishing peace for your dad and comfort for you and the rest of the family. 🌻🫂

Those are fine words as it is very hard to find anything positive about watching someone you love dying from this disease. Thank you and all sympathy to you and your family.

So sad for your loss, there is a lot of wisdom in your words.

My grief for my father is less than his suffering . It’s a truly dreadful disease and I hope all can live with a little peace 🙏
