Here’s some new research from the UK about tau which actually even mentions PSP. It’s a little technical I’m afraid. ukri.org/news/new-therapy-t...

Interesting development- thanks for sharing I hope it progresses to human trial quickly as it sounds like it could have huge benefits to our PSP community. 🙏

Thank you for sharing, this is very interesting. As Cambridge University are involved in the research, I'll try to ask in our upcoming clinic appointment if there is any way we could contribute. My husband has consented to donating his brain (when he no longer needs it) and it looks like that might be the most likely level of contribution - it looks unlikely that clinical trials would get underway in time for us - but we'd be keen to be on the list! What a promising development!

"Hope is green". Yes indeed - and 40 years ago I was teaching woodwork to kids, about 13yrs ..... and young Robert stuck up a hand and said " God is green, sir ........... he recycles us!" How accurate!👍

Messier,

A bit technical as you say, but it seems clear to me that any progress that they make in treating Alzheimer's will help in the treatment of PSP as they clearly are caused by similar issues. I fear the flipside is that there will be little progress in treating PSP until they crack Alzheimer's - but at least there are millions of pounds being spent on finding drugs for Alzheimer's as it will be a golden goose for the pharmaceutical companies.

Thanks for sharing. One day......

Richard 🙂
