Hi, Givemehopefor. I had to look up kyphoplasty, so really don’t have anything to offer about that, but I can say that procedures under general anesthesia sometimes cause sudden deterioration in patients with PSP. I have read that it may be an effect of the process in which body temperature is lowered during surgery. It’s not a certain thing, but worth talking to the doctor about.
My guy opted for local anesthesia after consulting with his surgeon.
They say that kyphoplasty is under local anesthesia and SEDATION..
So I thought it safe..
Yet you never know if eventually they operate under general anesthesia and that's why I feel uncertain..
I do not have confidence due to other cases and I m very worried to have to push my husband to go in this ...
I am also very worried to let the injury heal on its own because the disease is vulnerable to spine injuries and he might not be able to stand upright.. I do not know what to do...
Could take out ur pendulum and dowse for it? (Not being funny/facetious. Many people use this to help them decide which way to go.) Best wishes Timbow PSP
