As posted previously about my mum's eye sight ,but a new one appeared today .She has flashing lights in her eyes ,is this a common complaint with psp ??

my mum had many eye issues before she was diagnosed with PSP. Flashing lights was one she described quite often. The hospital consultant said it was an ocular migraine but he didn’t know she had PSP then. She also often had what she said were ‘Christmas lights’ when she was able to describe it. Hope the disturbances pass quickly.

Hi isn't it peculiar how symptoms vary from people who has this awful condition,mum was diagnosed last October and this flashing lights has only just started ??Thank you Freddie -dog

Hi flashing lights might be unrelated to PSP so I'd ring GP or 111 to get things checked out. I've posted before that mum had eye sight probs put down to PSP for years before we found out they were unrelated and treatable so now I insist every new symptoms is checked out and not just assumed to be PSP good luck

Hi thank you ,mum was diagnosed with psp back last year ,it was just a new thing flashing lights x

DOES ANYONE KNOW IF THERE IS ANYTHING THAT CAN BE DONE TO ALLEVEATE DOUBLE VISION

MAD = I SIT AND WATCH THE TELE WITH A PATCH OVER ONE EYE BUT IT IS RATHER UNCOMOIRTABLE !!!
