Goodbye

This forum has been a great support for me,I didn't post very often as I seemed to get the answers before I asked the questions. Sadly my husband died on wednesday after a choking fit . These were getting quite regular despite thickeners in drinks and easy food. The emergency services appeared very promptly as well as air ambulance but to no avail. So thank you all, you stopped me feeling alone for the last few years . My husband will not have to go through the awful future awaiting him and is now at peace. Love to all.

I am so sorry to hear your news, but as is often the case with us carers, you were together until the end. I am glad that you found this site useful, it has many lovely people who are either going through it or have been through it.

Take care of yourself, it is time to think of you now after all the caring.

Love and hugs.

That sounds like it might have been quite traumatic with air ambulance, and also quite sudden even though we know that there will be an end. I hope you have the support you need to get through the next few days, weeks and months.

I was so sorry to hear your sad news but I agree that he is now at peace and will no longer have to suffer. That is how I felt when my husband died. I am so glad that this forum helped you. He is no longer hampered by this horrible disease.

His voice and speech are better so he can raise his voice in glee.

He can sing and laugh with angels as his spirit is now free.

You cannot help but miss him and feel sad that he has gone,

but you can’t be sad he’s been released from his body which went wrong.

Apologies for the delay in replying, I’ve only just seen your message.

Sorry to read this news, it must have been a frightening time with all that was going on around you.

Now I expect it is a busy time with things to sort out, just when you are feeling numb, and all the other emotions that go on.

Thinking of you, love and hugs.xx
