My husband was only diagnosed with PSP two weeks ago and is already on hospice care. He was in hospital and rehab and just came home yesterday.
Now his jaw is hurting very badly. I thought it was a toothache, but happened to notice a passing comment about jaw pain on a PSP page. Is this common? It is pretty severe. He (we) only slept about three hours last night. Any suggestions of what to do?

Windy, From my readings here and on Cure PSP, jaw pain, jaw clenching and jaw locking all appear to be quite common. My wife, who was diagnosed with PSP almost 4 years ago, has had a few bouts of jaw pain. Nothing too serious yet. I have usually given her jaw and temple massages and applied a warm wet towel to her jaw. That has helped (and a good non-steroidal anti-inflammatory like Ibuprofen).
Please note that I have read on here about patients who experienced very serious jaw pain to the extent that they needed to be put on Morphine Drips to control the pain. This was usually experienced in the latter stages of PSP. But If your husband continues to feel acute pain, you will need to let a doctor know ASAP.
Good luck. I hope he feels better and that you both get some rest.
How miserable! Suggest notifying hospice nurse, who can help evaluate him. Ibuprofen, morphine, warmth or ice pack whichever helps, and yes dental and medical evaluation. Is it the lower jaw? Can you pinpoint the pain’s location in relationship to a sensitive tooth? I hope he isn’t on one of the osteoporosis drugs such as fosamax that can rarely cause jaw problems?
I'm so very sorry about your husband's diagnosis and his jaw pain. My husband did not complain of jaw pain, but had significant pain in one side of his neck.
I echo the advice given already by Dickwin and Martina_MP and mentioning his previous treatment with Fosamax (alendronate).
My husband had this terrible pain as well. A dentist came to the rescue. He prescribed a compounded liquid medication of three "ibuprofens" and it completely took the pain away. It was a miracle for us and something this kind dentist thought up himself. If you are interested send me an email to the personal site. I don't want to post medical information here, but would be happy to provide for you to speak to your doctor about.
