Diagnosis in Switzerland

My sister age 67 who lives in Switzerland, has just been diagnosed with psp. Had a few falls in the last couple of years since retiring and had a finger tremor so Parkinsons was suspected, now problems with her eyes and she's asking me if she is slurring her speech on the phone. Says she gets quite disorientated in unfamiliar places too. Bring referred for physio, eye specialist and therapy with swallowing So concerned for her and frustrated that covid prevents me from visiting easily. Gutted. The last time I saw her 18 months ago was at my mums funeral. She died of Alzheimers 😪

I'm so sorry to hear your news that has brought you to this forum. I hope you will find this group a useful place to find out more about PSP and how you and your family and friends can support your sister. I know nothing about the health system in Switzerland but it's good to hear that she is getting all those referrals already.

Sorry to hear, must be difficult for you being so far away and not knowing when you will be able to see her. This forum has been a great support to me and I hope you find it useful as well, there is no question you can't ask here. xxx
