Oh... I could come up with so many comments about the length of the beaks. LOL. Instead, I think it’s time for a naming contest. It would be fun to say “Elvis has left the building”, being in Vegas and all. Other thoughts PLEASE 😂

One break looks longer than other!
Wonder if that is due to age (a matter of hours/minutes), or gender.
Is there any info available?
I’m asking my Wildlife specialist about gender and I’ll get back to you.
My friend said that she doesn’t think that the size of the bill determines gender. However, I did a little research, per google, the female hummingbird is generally larger in size than the male. What I read didn’t specifically mention the size of the bill though so I don’t know either.
Did you know the that their tongues are twice the length of their beak? Also, their tongues have hair on them and the end of the tongues are forked? This helps them to catch insects during flight! The longer the beak the easier it is to obtain nectar from a flower. This website is pretty fascinating:

Fascinating - thanks for sharing I am absolutely loving the wonderful daily photos and the interesting facts
Love Tippy
I'm just loving it too, Tippy; what a lovely way to start the day, especially with the awful challenges and heartbreak taking place all over the world. Must admit I am steering clear of too many news bulletins as want to try to remain upbeat and if this isn't good therapy then I don't know what is. I've been looking up the info on hummingbirds purely because of SewBears daily updates and it's been fascinating. Will have to find something else to learn about once these little guys have left home.

I’ve been googling as well. I fell in love with hummingbirds on a trip to Vancouver Island. I would sit outside watching them humming round the feeder for ages.
Such charming little birds, NannaB. We too had our first introduction to them on a trip across California. We'd stopped for a break somewhere along Big Sur and there they were, busily feeding on nectar. We were mesmerised.
These posts from SewBears have been such a welcome distraction and a lovely opportunity for many of us to learn more about this delightful little creature. She has given us something to smile about, it has cost her nothing but has given so much and I do hope that it may have offered a bit of light relief to those on the forum buried in their ongoing struggles.
AND I'm shouting with you, NannaB - Go Away Crows!

Oh this is fun, I feel like an old aunt chipping in with some naming suggestions - lol. So, in keeping with their birthplace, my suggestion is Caesar and Nevada. Right, off now to do the serious stuff - lawn needs to be mowed.
