Crochet for calmness - following Kevin's idea

I started crocheting about 18 months ago, thinking it was something to do whilst sitting with Mum. Never did much sitting, as always something to do but found it was a great way to unwind at the end of the day. I have made shawls, ponchos, cushions, hats, scarves & cowls, market bags, baskets (large & small) and flowers, which can be turned into brooches, garlands or for Easter Bonnets! One of the things I like to do is buy yarn from a charity shop & then find a pattern which works for it !

I have passed the bug onto a friend & her daughter and found other people who share the passion. It has made such a positive impact on my life I don't know how I lived without it.

Gosh, they are magnificent and you've only been doing it for 18 months?

That shawl is delightful.

Beautiful! I think crocheting is even more calming than knitting.

Wow! All of the items are gorgeous and I love the colors of the pillow. Nicely done! It kind of makes me want to give it a try. I could make hats and sweaters for my bears LOL.

Beautiful and very professional. I’m a lifelong knitter and will be forever grateful to the lady who taught me when I was a girl. It is a sanity saver!

So beautiful! The shawl is stunning and I love the colors of the pillow.

Very pretty & useful items. I gave up crocheting when crazy hand stated giving me fits of frustration but picked it up again 3 years ago when l found it was a great exercise for my fingers in the winter months. Charity shops are fantastic. Sending hugs... Granni B
