Is there Blood donations of children for research?

I live in Perth Western Australia. I am very willing to even donate my blood for research if that would help. At the time dad was ill we did not think donating his brain to research excisted!! We cared for my dad to the end. Took the toll on all of us. My younger brother did the more heavy lifting, washing and taking my dad to the toilet. In the end he just communicated with his eyes and the number of blinks. His lungs were the last to go.

Tolerance and compassion was tested many times. But hang in there. They are still in that body.

If there is anyway to help stop this dreadful disease please let me know. Or if anyone is aware of any research. I'm interested.

We who have lost loved ones to PSP understand your suffering and pain.

If anyone you know, especially blood family, is DX with a brain disease, discuss with them if they have looked in to donating their brain for research to the causes. For that is where we will get answers.

I donated my husbands brain and also intend to donate mine as they need brains of people without PSP as well as those with the disease.

I have been involved in various research projects at Cambridge,England. I don’t know if there is somewhere in Australia . Perhaps the research team at Cambridge can help? Jayne

It's important that us "healthy" individuals donate our brains as well as the sufferers so they have something to make a comparison to.
