We have found glycopýrrolate 1.2 mils every 4 hours works well.

Others will chime in.if you go to the search and place your questions it should help as well.

Atropine drops, are widely used with one drop under the tongue once a day recommended by our dietitian and available on prescription

Hope this helps

Hi

My mother was prescribed atropine drops and these although successful in controlling the drooling, the drops caused her to be seriously delirious and was nearly hospitalised.

She was then prescribed hyocine patches these too controlled the drooling, but caused dreadful side effects and when the doctor decided to stop them she was violently ill.

We know she was very sensitive to different drugs, but the side effects these caused were so awful she decided to try and cope with the drooling.

Consultation with the speech and language specialist and Parkinsons nurse is a must before using these medications.

Drooling is a tip off that she is having swallowing issues. A speech therapist could help her.

We tried the hyoscine patches but mum had a reaction and now are on kwells which is an anti travel sickness medication but which apparently helps dry up the saliva that is not being swallowed xxx
