Leaning - to the left now.

Sandy periodically (not every day) leans very far to the right. Sometimes I wonder if he's going to lean right out of the wheelchair and fall over. Well, last night he leaned left. What is this?? Up until now, left side is the problem - whole left side - floating leg, weak and shaking hand.

Any ideas on why he's leaning left now? The fun never ends!

The same happened with my wife. I put it down to loss of spatial awareness. Prior to her diagnosis of CBD her GP had picked up that she had lost her spatial awareness because she couldn't sit straight in a chair or even lie straight in bed. She did fall out of bed prior to her diagnosis another sign that it was CBD.

Keep on smiling. Ken. 🌝🌝🌝😀😊x

Symptoms following a 5 visit consultation with her GP who then sent a very concise report to a neurologist who specialises in the rarer diseases.

A two hour consultation with the specialist who confirmed she had CBD and advised us to contact PSPA. When I received the professional's guide to CBD I found a very concise description of her journey. I have no doubts, she definitely had CBD.

Sandy started out early on, long before he had a diagnosis, with lying crooked in bed. He just wasn't aware of his body. It progressed from there with leaning to the right - now to the left.

You keep smiling too!

My husband doesn’t lean to the side. When he sits in a chair he doesn’t place his bottom all the way to the back of the chair causing him to slide forward. It’s like he has forgotten how to bend in the middle. He also will sleep sideways, or crooked in bed. It’s always something isn’t it.

My guy too. I think the rigidity makes it hard for him to bend. He also can sometimes sit for awhile and then becomes rigid and starts to slide.

Larry has leaned left for years. There were a few days when he switched to right for a short period during that day. Usually when I am moving him. I am expecting the left lean and he goes right.
