Im sitting next to my dying father, who suffered 5 years from PSP. 5 years of his body slowly letting him down.. 5 years I watched an active man become a vegetable. I sit here holding his hand, assuring him we are here, telling him he fought the good fight, and it was ok for him to go and be free.
It pains me to watch him suffer like this...Im too scared to sleep in fear he will die and I'm not here to hold his hand. I just want his suffering to be over.
He was a top bloke. A good guy. An amazing dad.
Hug your loved ones. Tell them you love them.
Time is precious.

My heart goes out to you. I remember my grown children having to watch my wife pass and the pain of that experience. I want God to take me in my sleep so that they dont have to watch me pass that way.
You are very wise on your guidance to cherish the time you have with your loved ones. Time is too short to have conflict in relationships.
