Things are going pretty well around here. Sandy seems to be doing okay. There haven't been any major changes for probably four months, only a few minor ones, more weakness, sleeping a bit more, left hand shakes like mad if he tries to pick anything up with it, probably a few other things. Anyway, just want to throw out a positive post. When things are stable for a while, it all seems just great! As long as you don't look back on where you used to be, you can fool yourself into thinking it's all good.
Also, we haven't had home health care for a while which has been like a mini vacation. They are heading our way soon because it's getting very difficult for my husband to get out of bed and onto the Sara Stedy. We need an OT to help out.
We had a big family party yesterday (not at our house, thank goodness - but at a banquet room in a restaurant). Lots of family - baby shower for our upcoming grandbaby as well as celebrating Sandy's 73rd birthday. It was wonderful to have the family together and he had a good time. He was worn out, but he enjoyed it. We really need to build more of these gatherings into our life while he can still enjoy them.
He's gone to bed and I can hear him in there doing the loud, continuous throat clearing.
