This picture has a deeper meaning ... this is my Moms youngest grandson, Jesse; he just turned 9 years old. I bought my mom a greeting card kit, so she decorated this personal birthday card, and in her own handwriting! This year she has been making a personal birthday card for each of her grandchildren as keepsakes ... Jesse has been waiting for his personal card from “MaMa” 😊❤️
Of course the inside also had some financial benefits for ice cream and such —- love moments like these xo

Mom has really taken some pride in doing this, once I got her past the idea that her handwriting was bad. She keeps saying, but my handwriting isn’t what it used to be ... I said Momma that’s not what this is about —- it’s a true gift to have you personalize a keepsake card for your grandkids. She has smiled through every one, and has actually got quite creative.
I am excited to see that you found more than pressing forks into cookies to keep you mom engrossed as part of the family. I had also been thinking of a keepsake for each of my children and grandchildren. I love wood working and have been thinking of something along those lines while I can still operate my tools.
On the "deeper meaning" part, one of my grandchildren had just returned from a summer long visit to her other grandparents. During a talk with her, she asked "Why are you talking like that?". I hadn't seen her in about 5 months total. My speech has gotten progressively more slurred and slower since the last visit. We haven't explained anything about her favorite "grandpa" yet as she is only 8. Except to say that I'm feeling sick. She did spend a lot of time sitting with me, hugging and sitting on my lap. At the time, I was able to keep the emotional incontinence down until after they left. Your picture and words broke down the incontinence in me just now.
I know life is not rosy for the caretaker but you are such an inspiration at this moment to myself and my caretaker (married 41 years to her).
