Another bird.

What are the chances? After getting Larry showered I came downstairs to get a hot compress for his eyes. There was another Juvenile starling flying around in the living room. Opened the front door and storm door. Turned around to find the bird. I didn’t see it leave but I don’t think it is in the house any longer. Unreal.

I saw what looked like someone has spit on the mirror in the dinning room yesterday. It occurred to me this morning the first bird must have flown into it at some point.

Was it the same bird bonding - or all baby starlings wanting you to care for them too !

Maybe you can have a new career as a starlings care home.

I'm on holiday and have lost touch with reality !

I have my hands full at the moment. I’m not taking on any more needy critters.

Funny old life when a bird flying into it is the preferred alternative explanation for spit on your dining room mirror.

Hi Jeff

Same one?

Have you got a pet starling now?

Chuckles

Edit: Oh, I see someone else thought of that first lol.

Maybe there were two the other day and I somehow missed the second one.

We used to get birds down the chimney sometimes. An owl once! Starlings are opportunistic nesters and vent holes are very attractive to them. Fwiw.

Small birds often got into the house (Los Angeles, Ca) thro the chimney...finally invested in a wire cover over the top of the brick chimney. Good luck.

Here it’s through the doors. This was the fourth episode in the time we have lived here. The timing has to be perfect. They have to fly in the second the door opens.
