Have any P.S.P. patients come across or used these patches?I have heard that they have had positive affects with Parkinsons patients.

Rotigotine(parkinsons patches)
Dad used these for a bit to try boosting the Sinemet he was on. They didn't seem to help him, the doctor kept increasing the dosages of both meds till dad starting having mild hallucinations. At this point he was weaned off both drugs and they were never used again. Every patient is different so I would at least try it and see what happens, just keep a close watch on the patient for negative results and report to the doctor.

i use them everyday and can't tell if they work or not any more. I have used them over a a year now, i still fall a lot and it has never helped with with my voice changes and my taste of food and drink.
I am hoping the new Parkinson drug that they are preparing to test on humans will be effective on PSP as it worked on Parkinson's on the lab rats.
My father used them and we found them really good. Unfortunately they were first prescribed by the GP. When the consultant returned from holiday he stopped them and we were not allowed them. Something to do with funding but the consultant had no idea and couldn’t recognise PSP and so everything just disintegrated fairly rapidly. It was a total shambles the way my father was treated. I was glad when he died and did not have to suffer any more. Some doctors and consultants are total idiots.
