Just had the review and it was perfect, the nicest nurse who had never heard of CBD but after some questions she said that we carry on as normal. Some of the questions made the old bag laugh which made the nurse interested in learning more .

CHC REVIEW
Brilliant! That's the way it should be. We also have a very nice nurse who has carried out our reviews for six years now.
I am relieved for you - but that is the way it should be. I know I was really stressed prior to my hubby’s first review and the relief on not loosing the funding was enormous.
Love Tippy
I so relate to that. I did so much prep, the assessor came in asked how things were, I started going through the domains one by one, she stopped me & said all I need to know is what's changed nothing more, I'm not taking any money away I just need to know if it's adequate. The relief was so great I couldn't talk for a few minutes. It just took so much stress away.
Mum hadn't even realised the woman was the assessor, which was great in itself because our first assessment had been so upsetting for us both. What a difference.
That's great news, wish everybody could have the same experience and not made to feel they are begging. When Ben was awarded the Funding it was a gruelling 3hr interview but he was never reviewed and died 13 months later. I was so anxious about the review which they said would initially be after 3months and then annually, guess they must have been behind on the reviewing thank goodness. Xx
Oh well done, so glad you've got it. I'm amazed at so many different experiences. Our Distict Nurse applied for it for us and it came through quickly, as did the additional time when it was requested recently. It should be stress free and seemless for everyone.
So we keep on keeping on
Javan, So glad it was successful and not too gruelling for you. I myself is in and out of hospital which means I have to arrange carer cover for John, costing me from £70 to £120 a month, after a 3 hour grilling the NHS did grant me £17 a week to help with cover, I was hoping they would supply cover whilst I was in hospital, but accepted the gesture with gratitude, then my next CHC another 3 hours, decided to TAKE £9 per week from me. I care for John 24/7 and have to pay for his cover whilst I'm in hospital. Must say the NHS did grant me a paid four day disabled break away with John. They just don't know what we and our loved ones have to go through do they!! Love and good luck everybody 😍 Xxx
